Spring Litter – Estimated Due Date of May 28th
We had a successful couplings of Daisy and Radar on March 27th, 29th, and 30th. This gives us an estimated whelping (birth) date of May 30th. We are very excited about this litter. I kept a male from their litter last year and he has been phenomenal which matches the experience of other owners. Great prey drive, stylish point, and lab-like retrieving of dummies and birds. We will post updates as we verify she’s pregnant and track her progress.
Spring Litter Update (Summer Time)
We had expected Daisy to come into heat in late December or early January which never happened. She has just started proestrus, meaning that she will be coming into heat or receptive to breeding soon. The gestation period is roughly 61 days. So with a little luck, we could have puppies on the ground in about 2 months.
We don’t maintain a waiting list or take deposits until the puppies are born. We’ll post more updates as we go through this process.
Radar will be the sire. I kept one of their pups from their last litter and he has been fantastic. Marty was pointing chukar and quail at 6 months and eagerly retrieving to hand. He continued to improve throughout the season. He will turn 1 year old in April.

Daisy Puppies – 7 Weeks
It’s so fun to see them showing off their instinct to point.
Daisy’s Puppies – 6.5 Weeks – Pointing
Play time with the wing.
Daisy Puppies – 6 Weeks – No Hesitation
They are growing physically and in their confidence, not a problem pushing through the heavy grass.
Daisy’s Puppies – 5 Weeks
The puppies are doing really well and they’re getting braver every day. It was funny watching some of them think twice about charging through the tall grass. They love climbing on us and playing around. They are becoming more and more fun.
Daisy’s Puppies – 4 Weeks
Puppies are doing great and growing fast. I took them out to the orchard so they could experience some longer grass. You can see how they are initially unsure and a little clumsy learning to navigate the new terrain.

Daisy’s Puppies Have Arrived!
We are excited that Daisy’s puppies have arrived and all are doing well. The puppies are all liver and white, but the white will change to roan over the next seven weeks. They will go in next week to have dew claws removed and tails docked. We are disappointed that all of the puppies are males. This is extremely rare and the first time I have ever had a single-sex litter. Reserve your pick of the litter soon.
